What is Health & Wellness Coaching?
At a doctor’s appointment, advice may be given to make health changes, such as losing weight, getting more sleep, reducing stress levels, increasing exercise, and generally adopting a healthier lifestyle. Other people have an internal understanding that deep seated unhelpful habits need to change in order to return to optimal health. Often, this advice or understanding doesn’t provide sufficient information as to how to go about making these changes in a way that sustainably fits the individual’s life demands, and motivation can quickly be lost.
A Health & Wellness Coach provides the missing link, with personalised strategies tailored to individual client needs. They can offer expertise in basic nutrition, exercise, stress management and overall lifestyle habits. Crucially they also provide ongoing motivation, accountability, and empower their clients to set and achieve realistic goals, navigate obstacles, and ultimately achieve the healthy lifestyle they desire. The role extends beyond mere instruction, provides emotional support, encourages self-discovery, and fosters a positive mindset, which provides the catalyst for holistic health transformation.
